We are actively looking for people to join our ‘bank’ at Fosse Way School, a residential special school for children aged 4-19, who have an Education, Health and Care plan. This role will be based in Fosse Way House where up to eleven students aged 12-19 live from Monday to Friday during term time.

We are looking for a Night Waking Officer who would be placed on the ‘bank’ to cover shifts in the event of staff sickness in Fosse Way House, the residential provision of the school. Hours will be from 10.15pm-7.15am (Monday to Thursday) and will involve lone working overnight. There will be two other members of staff sleeping-in to provide additional support through the night if required.

Duties include ensuring the students are settled through the night, some IT admin (training can be provided) and some general laundry. The position will be an excellent opportunity for colleagues looking for a new challenge. No previous experience is necessary.

For teaching assistants, we require the minimum qualifications of 3 GCSEs of A-C grades, 2 of which are English or Maths for supply applications. If you do not have these qualifications, we will be unable to process your request. You will be asked to provide the original certificates of the qualifications you hold, when you apply.

For teachers, you are required to hold a teaching qualification and again, you will be asked to provide the original certificates of the qualifications you hold.  If you are unable to do so, we will not be able to process your request.

Please note, the employment process for supply staff can take 6 – 8 weeks.

 

We also run a Playscheme over the school holidays and are always looking for new Play Workers to join our Team

Playschemes include February half term (3 days) Easter Holidays (4 days) October half term (3 days) & Summer holidays (4 weeks)

Playworker: £10.41 per hour

Playworkers required for our holiday Playschemes, for children aged 3-8 years & 9-19 years.

Playworkers must have at least one year’s recent experience of working with disabled children including those with high level, complex needs, ASD, personal care needs and applicants must be 18years of age.

Compulsory Training/Induction
Includes: Planning/Safeguarding Training & Preparation and Induction
