Students welcome new Headteacher to Pensford Primary School

A new chapter has begun at Pensford Primary School near Bristol as Damian Knollys steps into the role of Headteacher

Damian brings 32 years in teaching and school leadership to his new role at the village primary school, including his previous positions as Headteacher at both Midsomer Norton and Peasedown St John Primary schools. Prior to his appointment he worked within the School Improvement Team at The Partnership Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust to which Pensford belongs.

Damian said:

"I'm very excited to be joining the Pensford team - it's a wonderful school and I know I have big shoes to fill; Warrick Barton has been a fantastic head.  I have already been given such a warm welcome and I'm looking forward to getting to know all the children, their families, the staff and the wider community of Pensford."

The Partnership Trust is a Multi-Academy Trust of 17 primary, first and special schools across B&NES and Somerset.
