Students welcome new Headteacher to Bath primary school

Pupils at Moorlands Schools Federation in Bath have been greeted by a familiar face when they returned this September, as former Deputy Headteacher Katy Pearson takes up the role of Executive Headteacher for Moorlands Infant and Junior Schools.

Katy has been a senior leader at the Moorlands Infant and Junior Schools for seven years. She replaces former Executive Headteacher, Louisa Sellars who has moved on after five years at the school. Louisa, working with Katy and the rest of the Senior Leadership Team, secured strong ‘Good’ judgements in both the infant and junior schools’ most recent Ofsted inspections in 2023.

Katy said:

“It has been a privilege to work as part of the leadership team at Moorlands for the past seven years and to see the strength of the staff team, quality of education and the support of the community develop to create the wonderful school we have today. I am committed to continuing the progress we have made as a team over my time here, and am delighted to have the opportunity to do this in the role of Executive Headteacher.”

Moorlands Schools Federation is a member of The Partnership Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust comprising 17 schools across Bath & North East Somerset and Somerset.
