We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and innovative Speech and Language Therapist to work at The Mendip School, a highly successful 4 -19 special school based in Shepton Mallet. The successful candidate will work as part of a supportive therapy team including a Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist and Music Therapist.
The appointed therapist will be responsible for providing a high quality and individualised package of care for children with Autism and a range of Speech, Language and Communication needs. The role provides the opportunity to carry out individual, small group and class-based interventions using evidence-based approaches within the school day. Our students have a diverse range of needs including Autism, DLD, speech sound disorder and selective mutism. The post holder will work alongside teaching staff and deliver training as required. The post offers CPD opportunities and clinical supervision.
