We are seeking to employ an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our Reception team. Hayesdown First School is a large, two form entry school providing high quality education for the local community. We are a happy, hard working team who strive for excellence in all we do. The school has a Good grading in its most recent OFSTED inspection (Dec 2018) and we are looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant who can support the further development of our Early Years provision, bringing energy, inspiration and a passion for excellence.

The post holder will be required to work 5 days a week: 4 days 8.30am – 3.45pm, plus 1 day a week 8.30am – 4.30pm; the days these hours are worked are negotiable.

The post holders’ responsibilities include: providing general classroom support for learning, maintaining the learning environment, liaising with teaching staff in the development and delivery of a differentiated, engaging curriculum and meeting pupils’ personal, emotional, social and physical needs.

We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and dynamic Trust finance and payroll officer to provide financial and payroll support to the schools within the Trust, undertaking a range of financial, duties and ensuring the efficient operation of the back office support systems.  The post holder will spend time at schools within the Trust to carry out school based financial procedures.  Overall, this is a varied and busy role which will offer many different challenges and opportunities to learn and be involved with different initiatives.

You will possess excellent ICT and interpersonal skills, superb administrative skills and have experience of maintaining and using databases and spreadsheets.  Knowledge of SIMS/FMS databases would be an advantage.  Most of all, you will have a “can do” approach, be very organised and used to working with deadlines, have buckets of initiative and be prepared to learn new things.

We are ideally looking for people who are flexible and able to cover  from 8.40am to 3.15 pm and who preferably could come in to cover sickness if called from 8 am.

It would be very useful when a time is arranged to meet the Head of School if  the  application form below is completed and brought with you along with the DBS evidence described as this would speed the turn around time for clearing a person to join our supply list considerably.

If you are willing to do cover for both Teacher and TA please indicate this on your form.

Please note, we cannot guarantee a set amount of cover per week, although in general those on the supply list have been utilised on a regular basis.

For teaching assistants, we require the minimum qualifications of 3 GCSE’s of A-C grades, 2 of which are English or Maths for supply applications. If you do not have these qualifications, we will be unable to process your request. You will be asked to provide the original certificates of the qualifications you hold, when you apply.
