The Specialist Autism Support Service is seeking to appoint a Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioner, who will be employed by CAMHS and working within the Specialist Autism Support Service based at Fosse Way School for 4 days per week.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist support for school-aged children and young people with a diagnosis of autism who are experiencing additional anxiety.

The successful candidate will be working across education and health services to support young people to access education alongside working with settings to ensure an autism-friendly and accessible learning environment.

As a specialist practitioner you will work across and between organisational boundaries, working closely with the Specialist Autism Support Service on a day to day basis whilst remaining part of the B&NES CAMHS team.

We are ideally looking for people who are flexible and able to cover  from 8.40am to 3.15 pm and who preferably could come in to cover sickness if called from 8 am.

If you are willing to do cover for both Teacher and TA please indicate this on your form.

Please note, we cannot guarantee a set amount of cover per week, although in general those on the supply list have been utilised on a regular basis.

For teaching assistants, we require the minimum qualifications of 3 GCSEs of A-C grades, 2 of which are English or Maths for supply applications. If you do not have these qualifications, we will be unable to process your request. You will be asked to provide the original certificates of the qualifications you hold, when you apply.

For teachers, you are required to hold a teaching qualification and again, you will be asked to provide the original certificates of the qualifications you hold.  If you are unable to do so, we will not be able to process your request.

Please note, the employment process for supply staff can take 6 – 8 weeks.
